The stages vary. The standard does not.

International Congress

An international congress can be contracted by scope of work, from the bid stage through post-event grant settlement and outcome reporting. Coordinators and liaisons are staffed to the scale of the meeting for the best performance, backed by an effective website, seamless system handling, and first-rate design.

From the bid stage to the final report, you can also contract only the stretch you need.

Annual Congress

Many societies and organizations hold periodic congresses every year. Centered on invited keynotes, session presentations, and posters, they are often split into spring and autumn meetings, rotating between Seoul and regional cities as occasions of scholarly exchange between the society headquarters and regional committees. As the largest regular event of an organization, a congress usually takes three to four months of preparation and is sometimes combined with CME courses. PLANBEAR plans and manages the core workload: website operation, promotion, registration, online abstract submission, exhibition planning, venue build-up, logistics, and staffing.

Because the event returns every year, we leave this year's record so that it becomes next year's starting line.

Symposium

A symposium addresses a single subject, with two or more experts presenting from different angles and answering questions from the audience. It is also described as a group discussion, an academic forum, or a research presentation. Usually run in a podium format, it consists of a moderator, speakers, panelists, and the audience. International congresses increasingly build their programs around symposia of this format.

Since the format is discussion, operations hold the timing on stage and the delivery of questions from behind.

Continuing Medical Education

Under the Enforcement Rules of the Medical Service Act and the CME regulations of the Korean Medical Association, physicians must complete continuing medical education every year and report their license every three years under the license reporting system. Without the required credits, the license report can be returned. The CME year runs from January 1 to December 31, requiring at least 8 credits per year and 24 credits over the three-year reporting period.

Completion processing and credit applications are treated not as society paperwork but as something a participant's license depends on.

Mandatory Credits

Mandatory credits were introduced by the 2018 revision of the Enforcement Rules. Starting with physicians reporting their license in 2019, at least 2 credits (2 hours) must come from mandatory subjects. The five mandatory subjects are:

When mandatory subjects are part of the program, the credit structure is reviewed together from the programming stage.

Operational Design

What completes a workshop is not the program but the operational design. Group assignments, seating, movement between sessions, and the exact timing of materials and supplies are laid out on the timetable in advance, so facilitators can stay focused on the content while operations hold everything behind the scenes.

The facilitator is left with the program alone. We hold the rest of the sheets.

Broadcast Readiness

For an online event, the broadcast is the main act. We check every presenter's environment in rehearsal, prepare redundant lines and equipment, and monitor video and audio in real time throughout the stream. For hybrid events, we design even the Q&A flow so that on-site and online participants share the same experience.

Whether the floor and the stream are watching the same event is the one thing we do not concede.
